Both sunrise and sunset are beautiful, but sometimes we prefer seeing/watching one over the other for various reasons.   I live on the east coast near the bay and ocean.  Since I'm an early bird anyway, somehow watching a sunrise makes me happier and tends to inspire my day.  This is a picture of what I see.  

So, what about you?  Jump in and tell us what you prefer and, if you would like, you can share your reason/s why.

I'm also an early riser - way before sunrise.  I love watching the sunrise.  Gives me a sense of calmness before the day begins!

We are early risers so we prefer the sunrise.

I much prefer sunrise. It is the coolest time of the day and offers hope for things to come. I do not like sunsets or facing the direction West. It may be a result of living in the Southwest. I associate the glaring setting sun with sizzling afternoons and insufferable heat.

I don't often get to see either the sun rise or set but, like you @ciao_bella , I find a sunrise inspirational.

They are both beautiful, but I would pick Sunset!

I love both....especially when I'm at the beach.  However, I think most sunsets are prettier with a lot more color.
