Give yourself more exercise than jumping to conclusions. Lord, grant
me sincerity and wisdom in my daily life.

Meditation for the day:
I can prepare myself by doing each day what I can to develop spiritually and
to help others to do so. Events in my life can test me, train me and bend
me to God's will. If I am not properly trained, I cannot meet the test when
it comes. I can want God's will for me above all else.
I need not expect to have what I am not prepared for. This preparation
consists of quiet communion with God every day and gradually gaining the
strength I need.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may really try to do God's will in all my affairs. I pray
that I may do all I can to help others find God's will for them.
Hello my friends! We thought we were getting a big snowstorm today so we
cancelled our card club couple, now we're embarrassed, it didn't snow at
all yet, but will be heavy during the night and all tomorrow! So this
morning daughter and father had their time together getting the Christmas
trees, with the dogs, yes, Sammy really wanted to go too, so they took him
along and he enjoyed it. Then after we got our tree trimmed - and lights
on, we went to Lori's and got hers all decorated, both turned out very
nice. We played some Farkle there with her and she made supper for us -
then we got home, and it was a full day - full of blessings!!! It's hard
not to find some blessings throughout the day - even when the day isn't
going well at all, there are still some blessings to count! Another
blessing is that my husband is helping my sister with her insurance - she
hasn't a clue what it all means - over her head, so he's helping her on the
phone now. Praying for you all, dear friends, and thanks much for praying

Letter To Santa
Dear Santa
Snowflakes softly falling
Upon your window play,
Your blankets snug around you,
Into sleep you drift away.
I bend to gently kiss you,
When I see that on the floor
There's a letter, neatly written
I wonder who it's for.
I quietly unfold it
Making sure you're still asleep,
It's a Christmas list for Santa--
One my heart will always keep.
It started just as always
With the toys seen on TV,
A new watch for your father
And a winter coat for me.
But as my eyes read on
I could see that deep inside
There were many things you wished for

You asked if your friend Molly
Could have another dad;
It seems her father hits her

Then you asked dear Santa
If the neighbors down the street
Could find a job, that he might have
Some food, and clothes, and heat.
You saw a family on the news
Whose house had blown away;
"Dear Santa, send them just one thing:
A place where they can stay."
"And Santa, those four cookies that
I left you for a treat,
Could you take them to the children
Who have nothing else to eat?"

Dialogue with Christ: Jesus, I know that you are calling me to be more like
you today! I know this is not an easy task, but you will give me the grace
to achieve such a high ideal. I need to trust you and to see everything as
something you send my way to help me achieve my goal of holiness. Grant me
the grace, motivation, and continued good examples of others to be generous
like Mary, your Mother.
Resolution: I will take a moment to encourage another person to strive for
holiness, too. In a special way, I will be mindful to encourage young people
to be open to the consecrated vocation, should the Lord be calling them.
