Sunday it will be 7 years my Dad is gone

I miss him each and every day, he was a gentle kind man. I can the day like it was yesterday. We had gone to see a friends band play and I got a text from my brother that dad was having a tooth issue and he was heading to get him a script. As my brother was leaving Dads full time caregiver was about to get him up and ready for bed when he collapsed. My was leaving and the caregiver called him back. We were leaving my friends gig and my brother texted me. So we headed for the hospital he was revived once in the ambulance. We spent the night there and I headed home for a shower and came back with my husband. I stayed until about 9 that day and he passed shortly after I left. There is not day that goes by that I do not think of him. My Mom proceeded him by about three years. I am glad they are both at peace.

So sorry for your loss, but he is always with you. I lost my mom 9 years ago on the 18th. Think of both my parents every day.

This time of year can be more difficult than other times. I miss both my parents, and, pray all the time for the rest of us.

one does not have to celebrate christmas in order to appreciate the good will offered by thoughtful people in the spirit of the season. my mother died the day after christmas.
