I know he is a service dog, and he is confused now and will have to go to a new place,but I cant help but to think why cant one of his family members take him? He's lost his master and now going to a strange place, I just feel sorry for him. He was so loyal and dedicated.

@hsawaknow, apparently, Bush 41 wanted Sully to go to Walter Reed. An  article I read says this:

"Rubenstein said the Bush family wanted to keep the dog, but the former president asked that he be assigned to duties at Walter Reed, where Sully will assist injured soldiers as they recuperate from amputation injuries."

And remember, Sull was with Bush only a few months...since June or July. Sully will be well cared for and well loved.

Eventually Service Dogs retire.  If Sully’s handlers at that time can’t provide him retirement home, maybe the Bush family will.

That instagram is precious. I love how he had times where he could still be a dog.

@just bee.....just saw this on MSNBC.  In his heart, he probably does know what is going on and am sure he misses his master.....
