Who could be offended by this? He certainly is a thug. Did you see him saunter into the police station with his lawyers, laughing, waving to cameras and smoking a cigar? Good lord man, someone died because of you. How can he even produce a smile?

If you mean a violent criminal, then yes he's a thug. The term originated in India in the 1800's where they were brutal highway type robbers. We have lots of violent criminals in this country from all different backgrounds.
