QVC decided around 2 years ago to target buyers under 35, essentially sending it's older loyal shoppers to other retailers without even a sendoff. So, if you see the 40 and 50+ year old hosts dressing and acting like teens and 20 somethings, you'll know why.
I am a loyal 'older' shopper and have never felt 'sent off' at all.
I have no issues with the way the hosts dress. It is not my call about what size they are in.
I am not off put by their nails or glasses or any of the other petty things people post about.
I have had to accept that times have changed.
People don't dress for church anymmore...or to travel or to go to work! While I am sure there are professional offices out there still....they are dwindling down. Remote work and learning has taken over our society and it may not change.
So if I see ripped up jeans...so be it. I don't wear them but have 'gotten over it'
I wear what I like and don't concern myself with others.
I almost never purchase clothing anywhere else.

I don't think you got the point I was trying to make. You would need to have been following Mike George's, QVC's previous CEO, comments in the past that have been posted here and in two videos that are posted on the net.
I said this several times before...."For everyone who dislikes something, there will be others who do."

Oh no @Foxxee
I totally got your point and am well aware of his statements.
If businesses are to grown, they have to reach out to previously untargeted audiences. I don't feel slighted in the least that QVC may want to expand beyond their currect demographics. That is how businesses suceed.
QVC sells thousands of different styles, something for everyone of all ages.
I don't think the 'older' hosts are necessarily trying to dress or act like a 20 something.
Just because we age doesn't mean our clothes have to stay exactly the same and not progress with the current trends. I happen to like dressing current and don't mind seeing the hosts of ALL ages do the same.
Your generalizing statements just don't apply to me and possibly others.

That's great you find QVC's clothing appealing. I like Gourmet Food, Garden Tools, and some of their jewelry.

QVC is selling a lifestyle that is why the hosts dress and act the way they do. They are trying to create a family/friend atmosphere to get people to buy more products. There are also a lot of homebound people who enjoy watching these shows and probably purchase many items through these shopping channels. I am sure QVC conducts research studies on what and how people buy and make presentation adjustments to reflect the results of these studies.

Looking at QVC's latest financial report with declining revenues (and this has been happening for quite a while long before the pandemic and/or supply chain issues) QVC should look at making some changes to improve sales and revenue....
@millies daughter I think you make some valid points....one thing I cant understand is Shawn wearing several tops at once so she can change into different outfits....but all that does is make the shirt she is wearing ill-fitted and too tight and unappealing for a sale (and isnt that's what these shows goals are)....QVC PLEASE LET THE MODELS MODEL and instead of the hosts primping and posing they can provide informative FACTS about the clothing to the viewer---(i.e. fabrication?, care?, is the item true to size? etc etc).........I get frustrated and just turn the channel (no sales) and wait for a clothing show with a host that is more into giving important garment information..... Leah, Pat, Mary Beth, Katrina, Jayne Brown....

Yep, QVC is doing a lot of what you are saying, but their financial results are saying this approach isnt really working..and we all know what the definition of insanity is "doing the same thing, but expecting different results"....🤔
From a QVC Press Release--(keep in mind these were results during the Holiday Shopping Season - 4th Quarter 2021)
“Revenue performance at QxH deteriorated throughout the fourth quarter, deviating from initial trends indicated on our third quarter earnings conference call. We are not pleased with these results and are actively taking steps to improve our long-term performance across business units. "--- Even QVC is admitting they need to make changes....

I like when Amy models since I am her height. She is the only one that has a similar size and shape.
I can easily see if something might look good on me.
No other model comes close to my shape....I appreciate when she wears what is being sold.
I don't want to see just the models. Lately, they have maybe only one, possibly two, models. Not like in the old days when there was a parade.
