Stupid Question I know ....Talking to My Dog

But does anyone else talk to their dog like me. I felt the need to sign on and say I just spent the last five minutes explaining to my little Boston Terrier Lucy that I need to work tommorow. her little head was moving left to right listening to me as if she was trying to take it all in. Am I losing it !!
