I wasn't paying much attention when I went to Publix yesterday morning.  Walked in the door and the amount of Valentine's Day merchandise was an assualt to the senses. The balloons, flowers etc......were overwhelming. I'm guessing they cater to the last minute crowd. 

 

It's tough on specialty retailers who have one or two days a year where they get overwhelmed.
