Struggling to get on an earlier schedule, any suggestions?

I am a natural night owl. With the summer heat arriving soon, I want to get out early to walk and do errands. I also have started Weight Watchers and I want to get on a normal eating routine. I have achieved waking up at 7am for one week, but I am miserable because I don't fall asleep until after midnight. Retired ladies, have you tried this? I know many of you are night owls also...I miss it, lol.
