Re: Strange but funny article about adding salt to tea!

I like black coffee. I'm not a tea drinker unless it's a chai tea latte. Can't drink tea unless it's really doctored up.

Re: Strange but funny article about adding salt to tea!

It's tea only for me.  Both hot and iced.  I'm not a fancy tea connoisseur either.  My favorite is Bigelow's Constant Comment. I've enjoyed that same brand and flavor since 1980.  Throughout the years I've alternated with Irish Breakfast but Constant Comment is my favorite.

I've never tasted coffee or even had the urge to try it.  I used to work right next door to a coffee shop and I couldn't even stand the smell when I walked by their door.

Re: Strange but funny article about adding salt to tea!

I recently heard of someone adding salt to their hot tea.  I've never heard of it before.  I thought they were going to say WHY they put salt in their tea but they didn't.

I live in the south so (iced) tea is a staple.  Hot tea, not so much.  I don't drink any hot beverages.  I don't drink tea much because it wires me for days lol  If I do drink it, it's unsweet.  I drink cold brew Starbucks coffee.  When I was in London, we were taught how to make a proper cup of hot tea.  I don't remember if there was something special to how they made it.  I did go thru a spell of drinking hot tea after I got home.

I have never been a coffee drinker; only tea with lemon. I drink caffienated during the day but switch to herbal or decaf after 5 pm. Would never put salt in my tea because it isn't bitter in the first place.

NO coffee for me.  Although I like an espresso or an espresso with milk and ice.  To me coffee is watery and awful.

Tea!  Hot, and some teas with milk.  Iced every day, straight up no sugar.  We drink a lot of teas and have a big selection.  I don't care for most flavored tea, herb tea, or tissanes.  Mariage Freres makes great flavored teas, but they are expensive!

@on the bay  Quality matters. One's coffee and tea should not taste bitter.

I like tea but I think it has been years since I had any.

This has nothing to do with bitterness but I sprinkle salt on my coffee via electrolytes. Either LMNT or SALTT brand. I'm about to have coffee with Chocolate Caramel LMNT sprinkled on top.

Re: Strange but funny article about adding salt to tea!

Love coffee but lately trying to get less caffeine due to health reasons. I also love tea of all kinds. If I have to give up coffee or tea, coffee would definitely be the one to go. I’m in the south so tea is second nature. If it’s cold outside, I will have hot tea constantly. Love green & all different kinds of black tea. I’ve heard of salt in tea but my tea is not bitter.
Interesting subject. Thanks to the o.p. For starting it.

I mostly drink coffee, but I do love a good EARL GREY TEA!  It's my favorite 😍❤️

@cheriere

I'm a fan myself.  Have you tried any of Harney & Sons' Earl Grey teas?

I'm drinking their Supreme Earl Grey this morning.

Ingredients: Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, white tea.

My favorite is Victorian London Fog.

Ingredients: Black tea, oolong tea, bergamot oil, lavender, vanilla flavor.

Paris is also good.

Ingredients: Black tea, oolong tea, black currant flavor, vanilla flavor, bergamot oil, caramel flavor.

@just bee   Those all sound so delicious!  Unfortunately ive never tried the Harney & Sons brand, but it sounds like I definitely should!  I've really been missing out. Can these varieties be found at most grocery stores?  Thanks so much. 😊💝
