I don't know what was predicted and when. All the early 'guessing' I saw had the mid-Atlantic hit hard by winter, but unless that's down the road, that would have been completely wrong. All I can say is trying to finish up some last minute things today has been utterly miserable, hot, humid, rainy... not exactly a joy to the world kind of Christmas week...

It's been fabulously warm in New England lately, which is welcome after last year's record amount of snow. I had a feeling this would be an easy winter. So far it has been, but we have about 10 weeks to go before the grip of winter breaks.

@Pqfan Hey!
Phewww.....looks like that part of the storm has gone over; the rain was coming down in sheets!
I'm just glad it's daylight; at least you can see what's going on.....

We are expected to set a new record high here in central Florida for Christmas day. 85 degrees.
I was just out walking my doxie and there are Carolina Jasmine blossoms on the ground that have fallen out of the oaks.

We have tornado watches out for several counties in my state. It is very windy and 60 degrees, definitely not the normal around here. (Midwest)

I totally agree with you! I hate this weather around Christmas time. It just isn't Christmassy. While it usually doesn't snow where I now live at Christmas, it is cold and we can at least have a nice cozy fire. It is supposed to be 78 degrees tomorrow, so we can't have a fire when it is that warm! I am really disappointed.

High winds, flipped semis, roofs off of homes, 70 mph winds - lots of people without power in central Indiana now. More to come later tonite. Spring weather!

Very unseaonable weather here, too. More like spring than winter.
I read that El Nino will be causing very bad flooding in CA this winter and more bad winter weather in the middle Atlantic coastal states and NE, but not beginning until January and later.
