Anyhow, my son was looking for a pair of Levi's. He wanted one style in particular and two shades of blue in particular. First, he orders them straight from Levi's with a good discount. Way too tight, so he went to the UPS store to send them back. On his way back he stops in Dillard's and they had nothing. So I told him to go online again at Macy's, JC Penney and Kohls as the three of them do carry Levi's but had next to nothing as far as choices available in the stores themselves. Well, they are doing their stupid coupon games as usual with spending this much money or free shipping or this % off or whatever else they can come up with. I was like "____, can't they just sell a stupid pair of jeans these days without all this ******!". He did end up ordering the ones he wanted... so, now... he will see if they even fit him right this time ... or, just another return.
Yep, I am ranting... I just find shopping so ridiculous these days half the time!!
i sooo remember when the stores actually had a lot of different Levi's (or other brands for that matter!) to choose from and you would just try them on right then and there finding exactly what you wanted and needed.

I understand your frustration!
DH & I both wear Levi's and I usually find that the Levi's brand is excluded from many store 'sale coupons', which is Levi's decision, not the store's.
I agree that stores don't seem to stock as much variety in Levi's in-store as they used to. I always have to order mine to find a 30" inseam. Stores now seem to only carry 32" inseam in Levi's or any other brand of jeans.
Hope your son's new Levi's fit well!

I like a good coupon, but it's gotten ridiculous. It's to the point, I won't shop at stores that make you jump through a bunch of hoops to use a coupon.

I will never turn my nose up at discount. I might not use it, but I see nothing wrong with saving money. Perhaps your son had size issues because he didn't order the Levi's that fit him the best. Levis come in a host of style numbers and no two are the same. There's 310, 311, 314, 501, 504 and on and on and on. I know because my hubby likes Levis too but only specific styles fit him and I messed a couple of times in the past by buying the wrong Levis for him. Now I let him buy is own. The Levis site has a 20% coupon which is nothing to sneeze at. I'll have to wait until hubby is around and check out the style no and size and leg length of his Levis. I might be able to get him a pair for Christmas.

I get my husbands at Amazon. They have all the styles and colors

A lot of what you're seeing is a low amount of stock around the holidays.
Having been in retail, the coupon game is to lull customers into thinking they are getting a better deal.
I am not surprised your son was disgusted. Men don't shop. They go into a store and expect to touch what they want.
