Re: ""Stones From the River""

Well, I finished Stones from the River, and it was so worth the time it took me to finish it.

I have to thank insomniac who encouraged me to try one more time, because it was worth it.

It's a long book and it does go on in some parts, but it was so beautifully, lyrically written. I loved Trudi, the main character, and her father Leo.

I encourage anyone who has given up on it to try one more time.

Thanks insomniac!

Re: ""Stones From the River""

Sunny, I'm glad you liked the book, on your second try...maybe someday I'll pick it up again.

Anyway...what are the odds that 2 months in a row, our book club pick would be, once again, a book with a dwarf as one of the main characters? This month, we're reading "A Prayer for Owen Meany"...and I love this book!
