Yes, confirmation bias. @RetRN They take only what supports their agenda and reject the rest. Even if there is evidence or proof otherwise.
Is there such a thing as 'rejection bias'?

Someone has to pay for the increased wages,
ETA - we are quite happy with the high interest rates on our CD's and saving account.
@scatcat - I renewed a cd this morning. 5.30%. After years of .01% I'm very happy. But I know those rates will start to fall.
Awesome rate!
I think all of us here are old enough to know mortgage rates, bank interest rates, gas prices, stock market etc fluctuate. It's Econ 101.

Yes, the interest rate is falling, but the home prices will go up. Good luck to anyone buying a home.

The argument that "they take only what supports their agenda" could be aimed at many. And the implication that those who don't share a particular view don't do any research or check the facts is insulting.
Facts are facts. There are no "alternative facts". Despite what the self-proclaimed "non-gullible" would have us believe.
@Venezia Spot on.

@Venezia Your post is very important.
The "they take only what supports their agenda" is thrown out from both sides. I cringe every time I see it, regardless of who posted. It is the supreme example of people unwilling to see over the other side of the fence.
Facts are facts, I agree. However we know some "facts" can be skewed depending upon where one reads and/or listens.
When people take one source as accurate without researching more we end up with right-fighting and nobody ends up with the correct facts.
Good news for the moment is hopeful. In the moment is where it belongs.
Fluctuations will happen; change is inevitable.
We would do better to focus on the now instead throwing out really tiring and over-used slams.
High horse riding (cringe) only leads to one being pushed off eventually.
I honestly hope people can stop assuming the worst about others because we are all affected by current events.
Have an opinion about an event but leave the taunts and high-fiving out.

@Cakers3 You forgot to warn that a poster should never tell another poster to "shut up."

So true.

Facts are facts.
Someone must define what correct facts might be.

Yes this is good news indeed today!
However, it's one day at a time and no one has a crystal ball in this big big world what can happen tomorrow which is something we can all agree upon.
I feel this thread will be poofed shortly though. lol.
