Re: Stimulus checks and vaccines

Guess the OP is hoping they would say "Did you take the vaccine" No? No check for you.

Oh my goodness this reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld, "No soup for you" Poor George.

Re: Stimulus checks and vaccines

I was surprised to learn that some local empoyers are offering their workers a bonus for getting the vaccine.

Have you heard if the employees are responding to this?  Maybe some of them were already planning to get the vaccine and with a bonus, ok.

No I haven't, it was reported in a short piece at the end of the local evening news.

Re: Stimulus checks and vaccines

The only person I know of, who is refusing to get a vaccine is my sister in law who works at a hospital. I don't think she is using good judgement.

Everyone else is wanting to get one whether they get stimulus money or not. Some want it so bad, are finging ways to get it ahead of those who suppose to be getting it.

If I have to cheat to get the ****** vaccine I won't get the thing.

DH received a small bonus for getting both his vaccination shots. It was nice, but he would have gotten them anyway.

@happycat  my BIL works at the VA and he had his first shot and  got his second today. He was so happy when he found out he could take the following day off, so he'll be having a long weekend. Don't know if every work place does this, but his does.

Re: Stimulus checks and vaccines

Very bad idea. Vaccine has nothing to do with stimulis checks. What they should do is only send the checks to people OUT OF A JOB.

THere are so many who don't need the check, such as retirees on fixed incomes and those lucky enough where their jobs were NOT affected by the pandemic.  Not sure why people making over $75,000 or so need a check anyway.

I disagree with the part about being out of a job. I don't know about anyone else but since this pandemic started I have spent more money on essentials and everything else has gone up in price, too. I'm on fixed income and I could use the money.

I don't need a poke in the eye with goverment check to get me to go and get vaccinated. I want both a poke in my arm with the vaccine plus the money...whichever comes first I'll take.

If that were the deal - they could keep the money.

I don't need it.
