One of my jobs is in an assisted living community, employees have to wear them. I want to protect those residents as much as I can because I care about them, so I wear a mask most of the time elsewhere indoors. My personal choice and no one else's business.
There was a covid outbreak there late last year and some residents ended up in the hospital, thankfully they all survived.
Over the Winter I believe it helped me with cold and flu season, never got sick. I also most likely got covid last Summer from being at a very large outdoor concert without a mask, and my experience with it was not fun. I have a health issue risk factor too. My personal experiences and beliefs, no lectures necessary.

I keep a couple in my car for doctors appointments. If required. But otherwise, no.
I use my extras for gardening to curb my exposure to pollen.

It surprises me that some people still wear masks when they are out walking around in the street. I still wear a mask in very crowded places where I have to sit or stand close to others like church or a theater or stores. Not just for Covid, for the Flu too. It was a bad year for the Flu. We have to wear them in medical buildings.

NO! The only time we wore them at all was when it was mandatory.

Can't remember the last time I wore one but have seen a handful of people (older) wearing them lately (flu season?).

At the mall and in supermarkets, yes. Never got Covid and would like to keep it that way. I have relatives who depend on me, so don't mind being extra-careful.

I see very few masks when I am out and about.
They are no longer required at medical offices here either.

They are required in our medical facilities by everyone. Patients in hospitals do not have to wear them. I haven't seen anyone wearing them on the street, at work, or in stores.

Still mask in stores and crowds since not only am I at risk but I work with an extremely vulnerable population (elderly and end of life). I don't want to be the one responsible for bringing the virus to these vulnerable clients, where something very tragic could happen.
