Great movie but the end always makes me sad - why couldn't the daughter have looked out the window to see her mom and invited her into the wedding?! Oh well; Barbara Stanwyck was wonderful in that role - she should have won an Oscar.

As Robt Osborne said when it was over, there were things about this movie that he found fault with, such as why would dress the way she did, knowing she was not in her usual element at the time at the social club. And how could she not be invited to the wedding? Was the boy she married the same one who had pinned her earlier?
