If this is a virus that will run its course in all due time, that's great. But if it causes people to develop secondary infections or other health problems, that won't be too fun.

In your situation I would stay home.
Telling someone when God wants you he wants you is one thing but that doesn't mean you should put yourself intentionally in harms way and let the chips fall where they may.

three of us (sisters) have a yearly vacation planned to Florida First of May. One callled me today and wants me to cancel the trip. We have our flights and condo on the beach paid for. If I cancel we are going to loose money etc. We are are over 60 and healthy. I admit I am giving this some serious thought about what to do but I sure hate to cancel. It is a yearly girls trip that we take and not until May but if we dont cancel soon we will be loosing all of our trip money. Im torn on what to do also.

I'm 48, it, my aunt, who just turned 70, and I, flew out of Spokane, to Portland, OR, on this past Friday, and returned home, today.
The occasion was my aunt's 70th birthday. Her sister, who, is 68, lives in Vancouver, WA. We celebrated with family in the Vancouver area: Shopped, ate 😆,and just hung out. It was a fabulous time.
I'm so, so glad, that we didn't miss this weekend, because of fear.
I'm in the medical field, an RD. I agree with those who said, talk to your doctor. Express your concerns. He/she knows you. They can help you make an informed decision
You can also call and talk to the airline, you'd fly on. They'll explain to you, what precautions they're taking.

A good childhood friend has recently been hounding me about a promise to visit her in Florida, with nary a word about COVID-19, because, I am quite cerotain, she does not believe it is a viable threat.
If, however, I visited her and became ill, I'd be angry with myself and her. So, I'm not visiting anytime soon until I see how this shakes out.

I planned a trip to visit my BFF . It is by plane. We have gorgeous accommodations on the Queen Mary for a few days, My husband is 2 years into retirement and getting on my last nerve. I want to go so bad. I was looking forward to this vacation everyday. It is April 17. I am going to wait a couple weeks and cancel if things are not improved 90%. My friend understands. In fact she called and told me not to fly . We are both 72, and have health issues. Her more than me. But I have an auto immune disease,
we have known each other since 5th grade. I am just so disappointed

Were it me, and yes I have Cardiac and Pulmonary issues, and will be 81 in a couple plus months. Darned right I would go. Were I you with the way you are looking at the same situation? No!
