Behold Sweeties are not available for Valentine's Day this year because the company went out of business last year and the new owners won't have them back until next year.  

2019 The year without Sweeties.    What will men and little boys do without a candy to speak for them?

I dont know what sweeties are but I’m eating some Brachs candy hearts now.

A first, I think, in my life time. Some kids will surely miss them, but we can make our own versions. Less chalky and better tasting.

Will have to watch closely when we let the kids write their messages, though.

Some are real rascals — just like we adults! 😈

Sorry but I don't see this as a great loss in the candy world.  I mean it's not like it's a Snickers or anything.

No big loss to me -- the taste of these (and those awful NECCO wafers) was nothing to write home about.

I never really cared for them, but they are iconic.  I think I remember them being called conversation hearts.  I remember a larger, flatter version with scalloped edge.  I wonder if they were from a different candy maker?

Thanks for the info.

It’s the loss of a memory, I can’t remember a Valentine’s Day W/O them.  Not so much about taste. ♥️ 💜 ♥️

@Drythe That's how I feel.  Just a loss of what used to be.  Luckily, it's only temporary.
