Has anyone here ever met someone that stared at them in an odd way while carrying on a conversation with them? I mean to the point of them looking at you too long and it being creepy? I get this from another lady that I must spend time around sometimes. We get along fine but I've never had anyone stare at me while conversing in the manner that she does. It doesn't seem normal. Bad habit maybe? And I don't think it's any type of attraction to me.

Yes some people do have a problem with personal boundaries. Very strange!

I think some people aren't even aware that they're staring at you, that they're spacing out and thinking of something else and that some people stare hard because they're trying to figure out where a person's at or really interested in what they're saying. Those are my theories, that's all I have, ha, ha. Maybe eyesight problems.
cyndog, all good theories. A kid I could accept.

I've known people hard of hearing who look intently at people because they are reading lips. It may be that someone has ADHD and are staring because they don't want their mind to wander while they are trying to listen to you. There could be several reasons why they stare.

She's not hard of hearing and doesn't have ADHD.
