It amazes me that common folk defend this but will then blame people for wanting higher wages. No wonder they get away with it. They have people who gain nothing from their greed doing their bidding.

Well since employees can earn stock in the company as one of their benefits, it is to their advantage that the stock price remains high. Need good leadership for that.

Oh please. Most people working in retail or the restaurant industry aren't getting rich off of stocks and don't have enough income to invest like that.

Why do you think everyone has to become "rich". One of the employee benefits at Starbucks is they can earn stock in the company. There is no money out of the employees pocket, it is given to them. Think that is a wonderful benefit, same type of compensation given to the president.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.
