I would be more concerned about the logo on the cup.

@tansy  You said it Ms Tansy.  I was going to say the same thing too.

And to throw my 2cents in the coffee cup ring, I really don't like the shade of RED for this cup.  What's up with this??!!

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

I find it ironic that people are complaining about Starbucks "war on christmas" cup.  Seriously, they have an issue with a nice red cup (they never had religious symbols before on their cups) and I am shocked that those offended even purchase coffee at Starbucks.  Cause of the two tailed mermaid as their logo, you know.  Read up on her, she is a temptress!!  haha

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

Some people have too much time on their hands.

To complain about a cup seems just bizarre to me.

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

If a cup were someone's big concern in life, they should consider themselves lucky.

The outrage would be over the top if it had a religious symbol, then chucked into the garbage.

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

I've seen this discussed a lot, but I haven't seen many people of any faith actually express their concern.

It seems to be an artificially inflated issue.  In other words, more people seem to be  offended by the idea that people could be offended by the cups, than are actually offended by the cups.  If you follow me.

Re: Starbucks' Cup Controversy

I like Starbuck's passion fruit tea, and that's about it.  I think Starbucks is too metallic tasting.  I like strong coffee (decaf), but I dont' like lead tasting coffee.

I don't notice the cups.  I'm a Catholic.

Worrying about the cups is inconsequential to me.

It would make sense to do a winter theme - snowflakes, snowmen, things like that.

By the way, if I were the marketing director for Starbucks, I would be loving this.  You can't buy this sort of publicity!  Smiley Happy
