Stainless steel

Does anyone have stainless steel jewelry and if so, how do you like it and does it really look like gold or platinum? Is it substantial in weight?

I am looking for a wide band that I can wear every day. I lost my original gold one and then I got a 2.50 ct. diamond one but I don't like to wear it every day. I take it off a lot when i am cooking and don't know how it didn't go down the disposal years ago.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I saw someone on TV wearing one and it looked very nice, but I don't like "chintzy". Smile
