I just finished watching season 2 today. I'm not sure why, but I love this crazy show--- both season 1 and 2.

If you like to watch South Korean series which are great, you will see a lot of people participating in season one and season two who are frequent actors in SK series.
I watched the first episode of Season One about 2 1/2 years ago and didn't like it at all. I am so glad I have now watched quite a bit of the South Korean shows and I recognize a lot of people I would not have known back then.
Also Season two ends right in the middle of the "Game", and continues in season three. That's not what happened in season one, they went through an entire "Game" and it finished.
And prepare yourself it's a really good story, but it can also be a lot of blood and gore.

I didn't like the first one, so I'm skipping this season.

I think the OP is referring to an actual competition show called Squid Games, with an s, not to be confused with the series Squid Game. I could be wrong though.

First let me say that I abhor violence! I usually can't watch shows if they are too graphic.
However this show is a lot about human nature and I have become obsessed with it! When it first came out a few years ago I saw how popular it was but didn't watch. My son told me that it was very interesting so I decided to give it a try. After the first episode of season 1, I was hooked!
I just finished binge watching both seasons and can't wait for season 3!!

Yes @haddon9 . I accidentally tuned into the reality competition show by mistake one day. It's called Squid Games (plural) and it's contestants doing various challenges. Actually, I only watched for a few seconds so I don't know what all is involved.
Squid Game (singular) is the Netflix series.

@Citrine1 There's another show called "Squid Games" that's different from the Netflix series?
@haddon9, yes, Netflix created a game show loosely based on the series. I think it was called Squid Game Challenge.

I plan to rewatch Season One before I watch Season 2. I know they filmed Season 3 at the same time they shot Season 2 and plan to release that, I believe, at the end of June.
It's not a show that will appeal to all.
