Re: Spring has sprung in my yard! What about yours?

I would love to see a picture of your yard, it sounds so beautiful! Our grass is just getting green here, and it will never be as pretty as yours! LOL

Here in Ohio we've had rain, rain and more rain. We had thunderstorms early this morning, it's still raining now and they are predicting strong storms this afternoon.

In looking at the forecast, they are calling for rain most of next week.

So, right now my backyard is like a swamp. I expect my poor dog to be wading around back there trying to do her business!

LipstickDiva, we are some south of you, and were considering getting life jackets for the cats and dog, just so they could go out in the yard!

Luckily, no real flooding issues around here yet, but beyond soggy.

It seems like we get about five days of rain, one or two off, and then 5 days of rain again. And it has been like that the last couple of springs. I thought I remember sunny spring days in the past, but perhaps it is just a dream {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

We still have about month to go. It's raw, cold, rainy, dark and there was sleet last night.

It sounds like many of you live "up North" somewhere. I'm sure your spring will come soon! Here, sometimes it comes earlier than I want it to, because I know that our very hot, humid summer will be close behind. Sometimes it feels like we miss part of Spring altogether.. a couple of weeks, and then it's HOT! I keep threatening to move... I lived in Maryland many years ago and still have family there. I'm always jealous when they call for snow up there!

I do appreciate the comments about my yard... I must admit I've had to let some of it go for the last couple of years and need to get it back in shape. But thank goodness these wonderful trees and bushes just keep on coming back!

And we won't talk about my "grass"...{#emotions_dlg.blink} I used to have people walk down the street in the evenings and tell me they came this way just to see my yard... they don't do that any more! I've gotten to the point, as long as it's green and growing (whether it's grass or weeds), I'll cut it. {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes} {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

The snow has just finished melting. Shouldn't be too long now!

Yes ! We bought a new house this winter, so having fun seeing what's coming up in the yard. So far, the trees are full of cotton candy pink blossoms, tulips, salvia, and rhubarb coming up, and grapevines budding out ! (:

I'm not stalking you but didn't you say the other day you had snow in the northern Idaho panhandle? I remember thinking based on your name, I thought you lived in AZ.

Here we have crocus blooming and buds on the hyacinth and daffodils. It seems the pus^sy willows missed their bloom time.
