I love Springtime in NC! I hate the heat and humidity of summer, but Spring in this area is a whole other story!
My Bradford Pear tree in front of my house bloomed in white a couple of weeks ago, and now that has been replaced by bright green leaves. The daffodils are gone. Right now my Redbud trees are in full bloom (if you're not familiar with them, they are a beautiful dark lavender/pink shade), my white dogwoods in front and back are in bloom, the pink dogwood blooms are just starting to fill out, and my azaleas are coming out.
In front of my house is a row of beautiful pink azaleas, and several white ones. My yellow forsythia is in bloom, along with a bush that has pink blooms that the birds planted a couple of years ago. I have no idea what it is! In back are white and pink azaleas at the back and side of my yard, and some that are called Christmas Red, which is a red with a dark pinky tone to it all across the back of my patio in front of a low retaining wall.
After these start fading, my huge dark pink rhododendron in back will come into bloom. By then it will start getting hot, and a different "crop" of things will be coming out. But right now, I'm thoroughly enjoying my NC springtime! Oh, I forgot to add, I've been watching the Robin family that comes every spring... they're picking up straw and dried grass to build their nests, and splashing water all over the place in the birdbaths!
Anything wonderful happening in your yard?

My tulips are back. I never dig them up and re-plant. Probably over 100 of them around the two big trees out front that have the larger ""castle"" stones around them.
Haven't peaked out back around the deck at my azalea's . . . but I saw the 4 clematis are climbing on the wrought iron trellis's.
Need to get some annuals to put on each side of the mailbox brick planters. I pulled weeds from them on Sunday and a couple of fire ants got me so need to sprinkle some fire ant killer out there before I try to plant flowers.

I'm so jealous.
Here in NJ, so far we've had only snowdrops, (lots of) crocus and now a few daffodils. There are signs of life on the way. This weekend they are predicting warm and sunny weather. Hopefully we will see more bulbs flower.

And I'm so jealous of all the snow you get! I'm a snow lover, and needless to say, we don't get much here at all, if any. We did have one snow this year when we got about 7 inches... the first time in several years we've had that much.
If I could I would send you some flowers in April, if you could send me some snow in January!

kittymomNC, unlike most around here, I LOVE snow and was disappointed we did not get as much as (usually) predicted.
Our flowers seem late but in reality May was when they usually bloomed. We've had so many mild winters that April became the norm for lilacs and irises. As a child I remember lilacs being around for Mothers' Day and irises for Memorial Day.

Wow, I'm moving to your house! It sounds like perfection has hit NC. That is what a real spring is supposed to look like!
We have just got the grass to begin turning green here in the last couple of days, and there is virtually no color here yet. Some crocuses did come up, but got hit with frost, and the blooms aren't on the tulips or daffodils yet, so we have a ways to go before we catch up with you!
Enjoy all that beauty!

Here in Ohio we've had rain, rain and more rain. We had thunderstorms early this morning, it's still raining now and they are predicting strong storms this afternoon.
In looking at the forecast, they are calling for rain most of next week.
So, right now my backyard is like a swamp. I expect my poor dog to be wading around back there trying to do her business!

Looking at some snow on the ground that fell last night, and foggy, cold weather.
Our Spring won't come until next month.
