@cheriere wrote:@rockygems123 It sure is beautiful to see, but I feel bad for you. Hopefully, it won't last too long and springtime will finally come your way.💝
Thank you! It was shockingly easy with my 27 yr old son's help to shovel it all. And they were way off with additional snow, so we only had maybe 14" total.
Driveway and sidewalks clean as a whistle, it was in the 40's today, was much better than anticipated!

@GinaV24 wrote:Wow @rockygems123 that's a serious snow storm! Be safe out there when you are shoveling especially if there are branches coming down.
Here in NJ we had a March snow storm a few years ago. Heavy wet snow. It broke trees/branches off and took the power lines with them. I could hear the crack as they broke under the weight & called my brother to ask him to be careful if he was outside too. Don't need a branch to fall on you.
We were w/o power for 4 days and since we didn't have a generator, that meant no heat, no water. It was a mess & got darn cold in the house. I went to bed wearing a coat with my two cats.
Thank you @GinaV24! The branches really scared me as this tall ash has broken branches every big snow storm.
Took a Campanelli's duster extender thing, about 15'? and knocked down the snow.
Thanks Campanelli lol.

@violet runner wrote:@rockygems123 here in CO also. We only got about 3 inches in the morning round- the 2nd round is here as I type. My neighbor city, Boulder got alot.. It a very selective storm!! HA!
Stay warm and safe.. I just hope our power doesn't go off!
That's good you had minimal snow. Our power went on and off about 6 times, how about you?
Each outage only lasted a 1/2 hour or hour

@SilleeMee wrote:Colorado Springs got a lot of snow, too. It's like cement when you go and try to shovel it! Took me most of the morning to clear my drive and walks. Got a good workout though.
More snow is coming later, they are saying.
Thanks for starting this thread. @rockygems123
They made such a big thing about round 2 of snow, and we got maybe an inch or two.
Glad they did though because we thought we would shovel to get ahead of the next round but not necessary.
Now we can move on lol. 60's next week. ![]()

@on the bay wrote:My sister and I used to be in the Cherry Blossom parade in DC in April and it always snowed! We didn't live there but also always had snow.
Now I am so sad not to have seen any snow at all.
To me that is a beautiful picture @rockygems123.
Winter with snow is my favorite season of all.
Growing up in the SF Bay Area we rarely got snow. Sure it was fun to go to Tahoe but it was a bit of a trek.
Is your @on the bay the Bay Area?
Winter with snow is my favorite season of all too, now!

@On It wrote:@rockygems123 My husband heard a report that this could be the largest snow storm of this season. Stay safe. Please give us an update when round 2 hits.
So the weather guys weren't accurate - shocking - lol about round 2.
We got around 2 more inches. Since we heard it was coming we cleared out all the snow yesterday afternoon. That was great because with the temps in the 40's today our driveways and sidewalks are clean as a whistle.
And yes it was the biggest storm this season. In fact one of the last biggest storms was exactly 3 years ago to the day. Pi Day. March 14, 2021.
Gotta love Colorado.

No the real bay is the Chesapeake!![]()
Once I visited my aunt who lives in CA and I thought the ocean looked so weird! I mean it had rocks instead of dunes
What kind of ocean has that?!
The ocean in Hawaii looks like something out of Peter Pan.
And the color of the ocean in Hawaii and the Caribbean is not right either. It should be grey and blue and storming and exciting like the Atlantic!
I used to be on the bay-the chesapeake but not anymore.
Oh you probably didn't want a book for a reply lol!

The first round we got about 8" and then round two brought another six or so. It was like cement! omg I couldn't shovel all of it but I got most of the critical parts cleared. Not even the dog liked going out into that kind of snow.

Yum I hear Chesapeake bay and think of crab cakes lol.
West and East coastlines vary so much. Freezing cold water in the SF coastlline, not exactly swimmer friendly!
