When I went out to retrieve my newspaper early this morning, I could hear BIRDS SINGING!!! Later this morning, I saw a V of geese flying north. My crocuses are coming up (a month late), rhubarb is arising out of the ground, and I heard someone mowing their lawn!

After what seems like a very long winter, spring is FINALLY in view. It won't be here for about another month but at least I have hope. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Congratulations, MrsLorraine! It must feel really nice to see an approaching end to the long cold months. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Not here it's not, beginning to wonder if it ever will, I'm so over winter! Last night it was 15 degrees and snowing. With the exception of a promise it will hit 40 tomorrow, the next week is supposed to be all about freezing temps and icy rain/snow, yuck! At least the sun is out today, but it's cold. I'm looking at sites for spring decorating and flowers, trying to get inspired.

No one's mowing their lawns around here yet.

We just had snow in nw WA over the weekend. Although,it has been a nice two sunny days.

We're suppose to go down to -22 by morning yet it's going to snow this afternoon first (the polar vortex is so kind) then blow all over the roads for the morning commute.

I've checked the 10 day and we won't get above 15 degrees during the day until after the 5th of March. If then.

It Is???

Tell it to the poor birds shivering on the branches.

I think they came home too soon.

The hummingbirds showed up here a month early, and we've been having more spring than winter, since winter began. It doesn't seem to be easy for them no matter where they go at this time.

PA is still in the midst of a Polar Vortex with a current temp of only 22. We had snow overnight and more snow is expected Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday. We'll have daily high temps of the 20s or low 30s until at least next Thursday. {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown} Will spring visit us this year or will we go right into a long, hot summer?

This has been one crazy winter...everywhere. I hate to think part of our country is in such a severe drought. That is dangerous.

The rest can be dealt with.
