In a letter to the editor of our local paper today a woman is complaining that she can not buy food for her family because when she came to our town from a neighboring town she got a speeding ticket and she was only clocked at 15 MPH over the posted speed. She said it is ridiculous that every day they are giving out these speeding tickets in our town and they are all too expensive. She emphasized that she has a sick husband and a child and she needs her money to support her family. i say - she should have thought of that before she was speeding and i bet if she went to the magistrate and presented her case he would probably excuse her from paying but instead she writes a nasty letter to the editor. She did not deny she was speeding. Our town is primarily a residential area populated by senior citizens and they don't have fast reaction time and there are alot of seniors out on bikes as well. the police do really crack down on bad drivers and really do give out alot of tickets here. So if she knows that why isn't she minding her P's and Q's when she drives here? But, instead of being contrite and sorry she was lashing out at our community. i say she should just stay out of our little bit of heaven - drive around us.
