@SilleeMee

Ahhhh....I get it.

Sidenote...I'll be driving through eastern Colorado tomorrow where it's 75mph. Ooof. Even though the traffic is sparse, I can't do it.

Off topic...conspiracies...have you heard about the Denver airport conspiracy?  And that blue horse statue w/ the red eyes? Ck it out.

Now back to regularly scheduled programming.

Single car accidents are not unheard of......vehicles that spin out because the driver was tired and hit gravel from getting too close to the shoulder.  Also, in the winter there's black ice.  There's no coming back from an accident at those speeds.

Some people would probably freak out at how it used to be here, decades ago.  We had areas where there was NO speed limit.

The only one that was probably not the best idea was a stretch between Reno and Carson.   There were some (not a lot) bad accidents with people not driving responsibly and it ended up having more control with speed limits.

I thought our speed limit was just 75 on the outer area freeway parts.  I didn't even know they increased it to 80.    Not surprising, though.

Are organs still useable after high speed car crashes?

That "Blucifer" horse is awful @sidsmom. Did you know the artist who made him was killed when a piece of the sculpture fell on him?!! Smiley Surprised Wish they'd get rid of it.

Drive safe! Hope you enjoy your visit in Colorado.

That's crazy...  I don't understand why anyone would need to drive that fast...

Here in parts of west Texas the interstate limit is 80, and I'm glad. It's about 570 miles between Austin and El Paso, and that's just part of the state. Every little bit helps when you need to eat up that distance.

I drive 80 all the time, as do others on the highways I use.
