I think that my husband and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary partly because we made alone time for each other through out our marriage. We went away for the weekend at least 4 times a year even if it was just to a hotel a few miles away from our home. We believed if you don't rekindled why you fell in love with each other, you may lose sight of why you love eath other because raising children is hard. I loved my children and still do. But marriage can't be all about the kids, and if it is, then the rest of your life will revolve around them and if they move, you will be lost and so will your marriage.
