Re: Speaking of Jodi Arias...

I am ok with life, as long as it is real life, no parole.

I don't really support the dp. For many reasons. What I DO like about the dp is the isolation. I think that life w/o Parole should also be in isolation since they do not have to attempt to rehabilitate those lifers. Too many privileges for lifers, for my thinking.

Whatever she gets, she is appealing, so we will be hearing from her again. The only difference is that DP is automatic appeals, Life would have to be appellate issues that the court accepts, no guarantee an appeal is heard in anything but DP sentences.

Re: Speaking of Jodi Arias...

She currently is in a one person cell for 23 hours a day.

When she gets to Perryville, (if Life) she will still be isolated like that for a period of time, but eventually she could be in gen pop.

Maybe that is why she has aged so, not much social contact.

Re: Speaking of Jodi Arias...

I hope all of the confusion about the order of the stabbing, slitting the throat, and shooting doesn't confuse the jurors. I think it was in some hearing in 2009 that Detective Flores said that Dr. Horn, the medical examiner, told him that the shot came first. Dr. Horn said that he doesn't remember even speaking to Flores and that he believes the shot came last because no blood came out of the bullet wound. This week the jury seemed concerned about the order. Even though this jury must accept that it was first-degree premeditated murder and that it was especially cruel, I think if the defense gets them to believe the shot came first, they will think that Travis was unconscious sooner and didn't suffer as long. Jennifer Wilmott tried to get Dr. Horn to say that the shot could have come first, but he wouldn't. I've been reading tweets from people inside the courtroom on Websleuths.com. Two of the 18 jurors are already gone. Juror 17 was called in separately Thursday. I don't know what that's about. I feel Jody should get the death penalty because each time she talks about Travis being a pedophile or physically abusing her, it's as if she is stabbing him again. With all the tweeting, selling her "copied" artwork, trying to sell "Survivor" tee shirts, etc. she has done, the Alexander family will never be able to get any peace. During their early years, Travis and his siblings lived a horrific life. They had meth addict parents. They went without food and were beaten if they woke their mother up. Kids at school didn't like them because they wore old, dirty clothes that stank, and they gave the other kids lice. Only after their grandmother took them in did they have a decent life. During this new penalty phase, the defense is going with Jodi was beaten, sometimes unconscious, by almost everybody in her life and is mentally ill. I think she's just evil. She has abused, in some way or another, almost every significant person in her life. IMO she will kill again if she ever gets out.

Wolfpack fan: Juror 17 from the original trial was talking to the press so some people panicked and thought it was juror 17 from this trial. The Judge called her/him in to clarify.

Common sense should prevail with the Jurors into believing the shot came last, after all, she wanted him to suffer, but common sense is lacking in people these days.
