Sorry for things I might have said

I am referring to things I might have said to my parents. I have realized more and more how we get it back from our own children!

My 25 year old daughter is experiencing a really tough time for her psyche right now. She is a college graduate, and still cannot find a job. She feels as if she "cannot start her life." We have had discussions like this before, but this one was considerably tougher. I try to be sympathetic, listen, tell her I wish I could do something to help it. I made a mistake this time by reminding her she has everything she needs, as my husband and I support her. I said eventually it should get better for her.

Well, she took off on me and said "you people," referring to her father and I don't have a clue what this is all about. I said that I didn't have her EXACT experience, but all generations have their share of troubles.

I guess we all think we're the first and only! I know I am getting it back for all the stories I didn't want to listen to my parents about World War II, the Great Depression, etc.

We always think we have it worst. Sorry Mother and Dad.
