Bridge Over Troubled Water. It had just come out in 1970. My 3 year old was profoundly Ill and I was pregnant and had a preemie. I came home from the hospital and had to leave both of my children there. This song came on the radio just as we pulled away from the hospital. It has been my comfort music ever since.

Back in the late 80s, during the time I was making a life-changing decision, Basia's "New Day for You" inspired me and helped me keep going. (I still love listening to Basia.)
So did Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Get Happy."
Did any songs help you through troubled times?

Difficult times when not in the hospital? I have, and still will, put in a CD of Southern Gospel music/lay down on the floor right in the middle of 1 of our 2 Surround Systems.
I have every Gospel album I could find of Elvis, and the same for J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet. Always had Elvis's favorite Gospel song, "How Great Thou Art". J.D. Sumner, "Take My Hand Precious Lord".
Many more I could list that always work for me.

There are songs I like but I can honestly say no song or little tune could help me deal with a difficult personal situation.
