Oznell, thank you for letting us know how your son is doing after the surgery. Considering how tired you and your husband were it was very kind of you to take the time to do that.
I am delighted to know that the surgery went well and your son is resting and healing. Prayers will continue to be sent for him and the entire family. I know you are looking forward to the day he will be going home and in the meantime make sure you get the rest you need so you can spoil him when that day comes. Hugs to all of you.

You people are absolutely the best. Son is coming home today or tomorrow. Now that epidural, intravenous and catheter are all out, he is untethered and almost enjoying hospital stay! Cracking jokes with nurses, playing air hockey in rec room, taking full advantage of "room service". Will have to have stent removed in six weeks, but that is minor compared to what he's been through.
I will read and digest your incredibly kind posts over time. Seem to have possibly picked up a bug in the hospital, and am drained and exhausted! But happy. Thank you sweet people... God is good.

You must be so relieved! That is so great and he is on the road to recovery. How cute he is enjoying his stay and making the most of it! He deserves it.
Now you take care of yourself! Take care.

@Oznell How is your son doing? When will he be back at school??? I bet you're tired!

MickD, thanks so much for asking. He's great, can do most things but cannot lift anything heavy for awhile, or do any massive sports etc. He has been offering to show his scar to almost anyone and everyone, which I think is hilarious. One of the gents at church today explained to me that "it's a guy thing". Hubby confirmed that guys like to have "battle scars" to show, ha.
