@monicakm

I do relate. There is something very comforting about a good hug. It has certainly helped me. Take care Monica.

Studies have found that people who engage in regular physical touch are less likely to experience symptoms of anxiety and depression and report higher levels of life satisfaction. Finally, physical touch can also promote feelings of trust, security, and self-esteem, helping to build stronger, healthier relationships.

Funny, can't eat chocolate and the 2 mil isn't something I need. But having a day without glucometers, insulin and all the kwap I need to do just to stay alive, would be worth more than a billion dollars. TIRED of the entire regime. It will be 54 years I was told in 5 years there would be a cure.🥺

All kidding/*itching aside, how are you recuperating @monicakm ? How is the rehab class? How are your blood sugars? It must be daunting. I remember my MIL had bypass surgery and it was not easy that first year recovering. But she went on to live a long and fulfilling life.💕

Re: Sometimes I just need someone to...

Look, we live in a VERY cold society filled with hard hitting major issues.

If you even listen to the news for one day you most likely want to run into a rabbit hole.

I get your sentiment, you're human. Unfortunately when we say what you say, or we lean on someone asking, often times it appears we're needy.or weak.

I've learned not to ask or lean, but I thank GOD FOR GIVING ME faith which is my lean.

Meditation has helped me greatly in what you wrote. When I feel as you, I meditate.

AND I do treat myself to chocolate. Self love is very peaceful.

Re: Sometimes I just need someone to...

@monicakm   No, no and no to being "elderly."  I am 68 and I do not consider myself elderly. I'm ME at 68.  Still running, working, running after little grands when we babysit, taking them to the beach (omg exhausting) helping to cut trees at home and on and on.  I will not give in to a number.  My dad won gold medals at 92 swimming with senior Olympics.  He didn't consider himself old!  Neither did my mom...she was always one of the "sisters."

You are wise with life experience and are no doubt comfortable with you which is to me huge.  Continue to love you at your age.

The hug, you bet, the chocolate - always and the money...like someone here said, more of it in the millions bracket preferably would yes, make life easier.  Then I could get my inground pool 🏊‍♀️

And I play lottery and so far have only won $30 - long shot to win
