Something you should known about scheduling a QVC return online only.

[ Edited ]

Scheduling a return using the website only. Something you should know. Yes, I know that I can call CS to schedule a return pick up. I have learned there are other methods. My post is about only this method.

We are supposed to be able to use the website to schedule a return pickup using our return services labels.

On the Q home page, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, You'll see four headings; Customer Service, Connect With Us, Learn About Us, and Work With Us.

Under the Customer Service heading, in a column, there is a list of services to select from. You can select Returns & Exchanges.

Once you get to the Returns & Exchanges; you can select the box titled Schedule a Pickup.

You'll see some instructions here. THIS IS WHERE YOU COULD RUN INTO A PROBLEM. The directions on the page state:

"Step 3: Schedule a next-day pickup from any U.S. address. We'll take care of the rest!"

"By clicking the link to schedule a pickup, you'll be leaving QVC.com and be subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policy of Newgistics.com"

When you leave QVC you will end up at a login page for Pitney Bowes. You are requested to login to Pitney Bowes. The page is not linked to any place you can register with Pitney Bowes. It's a stand alone login page. You will have to leave where you are, find Pitney Bowes online, and register there, before you can schedule your pickup this way. QVC does not let you know in advance that this will happen.

I had to call Customer Service to ask what I should do when I first saw the login request.
The first CS agent did not even know this existed on the QVC website, let alone that I would need to login at Pitney Bowes. The second CS agent at QVC was more helpful. We determined that I would need to go to Pitney Bowes website, register there and come back in order to login to set up my online pick up. I wound up just letting the CS agent at QVC schedule my next day pickup from USPS.

@Mindy D I prefer to drop off returns at UPS or Post Office to get the paper receipt.  If you get a receipt via email or from carrier, please let us know.  Thanks

@jackthebear @Yes. You can do it completely online, in the way I explained in my OP. This has many steps. The other option is you can call customer Service and the will do it for you.

I won't do that although I know that sending you to a different company's website is done by many, many companies.

When there is is request for a code at the bottom of so many receipts so you can enter a contest or leave a reviw, I no longer bother because I haven't seen one for years that didn't take me to some other company.

this is also a great way to do a return if you have not tried it yet. i usually take mine to the post office because i like getting a paper receipt for my proof of return.

@mizree @I didn't even mention the receipt thing in this post. I scheduled a pickup with a CS agent at QVC once before and had an email of confirmation come to me. The email did not have my tracking number on it. The package was lost for months before it was finally found. This time, I photographed the label's tracking number.

I do not want to go to a post office. It's far from my home. I agree that a receipt is the best way to prove you sent it. I will get a confirmation email that a box was picked up from USPS after its pick up tomorrow. This is their proof.

Anyway, the main issue of my OP is that to use the online pickup request method, a customer has to jump through a few hoops that will come as a surprise to them. The method even came as a surprise to the QVC CS agent.

@millieshops @They send you to one website page, however THIS IS NOT ENOUGH, from there, you have to figure out that you can't login at the page the Q sends you to. This page says nothing about how you get a password to use on the page. It is a stand alone page, not connected to Pitney Bowes. You have to leave completely. Go online. Find the Pitney Bowes company website. Once thee you have to register as a customer, set up an account with your email and password.  THEN, you can go back to QVC online page Returns & Exchanges, and start the process all over again!

@sunshine45 @Will they arrange a pickup? That is what the OP is about. I did call, as instructed on the bottom of the message you posted. I knew about this method.
