Our Grandchildren need to see this, to give a little perspective on life. This is aVERY touching video, actually a piece of film that has been made into a video, this is onethat is NOT photo shopped, it's the real scene! Notice in the opening shot you'll seethe gunner's position is all shot to hell while the pilot's cockpit ahead of it is undamaged.Later on notice the corpsman taking a fingerprint of the deceased gunner, before the filmcontinues, then showing the chaplain saying the final prayers, followed by taps, then thesailors push the aircraft and our patriotic airman over the side and watch it sink into thedistance sea. Here's one for a serious conversation with your kids. THIS WAS REAL!This is what 18 year old "kids" were doing in 1944. No safe spaces, no hurtful unthinkableremarks that they couldn't cope with, just dying for their country so the ungrateful, uninformed snowflakes of today could act like fools decades later.............This 2 minute video is pretty moving. Worth your while. "What actually made this countrygreat is ordinary guys like this doing extraordinary things."

We have heaps of young people who aren't snowflakes. I think they shouldn't be lumped with some people ,whom you seem to think are
Our miltary and police are filled with young heroes..

Why is the type on the OP so grey did she copy it from somewhere else

For goodness sake. Please don't lump certain demographics of any people into groups, especially when it’s done to denigrate them.
I see and mentor some of the most amazing young people that I have the honor to get to truly know. They are NOT snowflakes; they are some of what is still incredibly wonderful about this country. They are brilliant and caring and passionate about serving others. They are entering every field of industry and armed services.
So have your own opinion, of course. But don't label all young people based on how you might want to have the country go back to 1944.

I consider my children heroes. My daughter was given a commendation for wrestling a guy high on coke to the ground as he grabbed her partners weapon. She is 5 ft tall and 100 pounds
My son served 10 years in the navy in the sub fleet. The conditions on a sub are harsh ,and dangerous. The Gov gives them hazard pay
I am proud of them, and many others, who I don't even know, and so were their great uncles who were WW2 vets

Yes, I copied it-don't know why it's grey. The preface are not my words-it came with the email from a friend of ours. So disregard the personal part, although it helped me while watching, and just watch the video. That's the point. Maybe it was directed at some snowflakes and helped someone, who knows. It's the video that counts.

I don't get it. Why would my grandchildren need to watch this?
We are Americans. Since the beginning of this country, Americans, young and old have stepped up to protect our nation.
Even today, I have confidence that our young military members are keeping us safe, and I 100% trust them.
I want to personally thank every military member, past and present for their sacrifice to our country, all of them...every one. Those who have seen battle and not, those who have died and were injured and those who worked behind the desk.
They are all heros.

Why not the ungrateful baby boomers, or Generation X? Why zero In on Millennials?

I'm sure WW2 had their share of people ,who didn't act like John Wayne
One of my friends ,had a Grandfather ,who was in trouble with the FBI/CIA, for making bad statements about the war ,and trying to implicare the Gov. He was finally threatened with prision, if he didn't shut his mouth
