Something thought-provoking to do if attending a wedding

When my daughter and SIL got married, I purchased a "Blessing Bowl" that my husband and I lovingly presented to them during the ceremony.  It was pewter with a beautiful swirl design on the inside, but could be just about anything.  Included were strips of paper and pieces or ribbon.

My thought here is to pass this idea along to those attending a wedding.  Though one may not literally pass it to the bride and groom during the ceremony, it could be wrapped and the following included with it:

Take a quiet time of day

to sit with pen and paper,

and write down all those

things with which (or whom)

you have been blessed...

Write them on these papers,

tie them up with these ribbons,

and keep them in this bowl

where you will see them every day.

One is given you to begin:

Thank you for sharing

this glorious blessing.
