@PickyPicky3 There are fake kidnapping calls coming from some of these numbers. Claims that a daughter (usually) is being held and the parent is to withdraw all money in the bank (after asking how much the parent has) or the daughter will be killed.

These incidences have been cropping up in various areas around the country.

Never answer these calls - and never call them back. The scam is: if u call back - and the call is from a foreign country, ie, the Caribbean -- you'll have to pay hundreds of dollars..I let all my calls go to voicemail - unless I know who's calling. Most of the scam calls I've been getting show 805 area code - but they're NOT from this area.

I get ghost calls. Those are computer generated calls with no answering voice. They just call. I don't know if they are the same as robo calls, but I registered on a norobocall.com. They haven't stopped. Glad the service is free. It didn't help me.
