I wouldn't worry about it. Not everything has to mean something.
It could be as another poster said, someone found it, and placed it there, and forgot that it was there before they left.
I wouldn't concern myself about it.

OR, she could take 5 minutes to call the police to let them know what happened. They may say that it's happened before, and that phone call could save her from being the victim of a crime. It's just a phone call. You're probably (and hopefully) right, but choosing to ignore it, and just hang around to see how it all plays out may not be the best advice considering the information I relayed about my friend.

I think you should call the police. You never know, and I bet they would be glad to know about it, it might be something.

I called the local police and they pretty much laughed at me. I just asked if that was suspicious to them.
I asked one of my neighbors and she has no clue why it's there. I don't want to make myself nuts and be afraid to leave the house or anything over something like that.
Why me?

Was it inside your locked area or outside? If outside, it's more likely to maybe have been forgotten by someone. Obviously, if inside the locked area, that is something different altogether. The location wasn't clear from the first post.
When you spoke to the police, did you explain what happened to PeterDM's friend? If you didn't, try calling back and explain that is why you called.

While it may not have been a purposeful act on anyone’s part to leave those items on your wall (they may have found them on the ground and put them there), the items themselves may or may not have meaning for you. When something unusual shows up, I tend to also wonder if it has some meaning for me. I wonder if the Universe/God is trying to give me guidance. Does anyone in your family enjoy cards, past or present?
It reminds me of something that happened years ago. I was going through a difficult time with a co-worker who I considered a friend (turned out she wasn’t). One day I was out for a walk and there was a card on the ground. I assume it was a tarot card, although I never owned any. On one end was a Phoenix rising and the other end said friendship. It was a strange thing to run across. It may have been nothing but it also could have been a message about being strong and rising above the ashes of that friendship, which I did.
