@feline groovy

You have been given so much good advice. If you reach out and don't get the help you need, try again and keep trying till someone helps you. God isn't going to let you go through this alone. If you call on His name, He will provide. My parents were in the ministry and I can't tell you the number of people that dad brought home that were down on their luck for whatever reason. They would often stay with Mom and Dad until resources were found that could help them get on their feet. Sometimes it was a job, sometimes it was a bus ticket, sometimes it was long enough for a Church to gather supplies and money to help. I hope you find what you need and more. I'm not up on state and local agencies that help with these needs but thankfully there are many here that are. Be sure and give God the glory for answered prayers.

@feline groovy

I am offering the very best thoughts for you.  I sincerely hope that all your issues can be worked out very, very soon.  I believe that through prayer, not only praying yourself, but by lots of others praying for you, that wonderous things can be accomplished.  Don't give up hope.  Keep your spirits up and keep looking into every avenue you can think of and I'm sure some doors will open up for you.  Senior centers, local agencies on aging, churches, church organizations hopefully will be able to help you and/or give you some good advice and help.

@feline groovy  I'm praying for you, today and every day.

You have many excellent resources suggested here.

Please know that through this very unsettling time in your life, by coming here to post for prayers you have helped so many who are in the same situation or very near it.  We collectively hold you up in prayer for your blessings to turn into reality very soon.

You may qualify for benefits that you are unaware of currently.  Online you can search for a Benefits Check Up to find benefits for housing, food (SNAP), and healthcare (Medicare Savings Programs, PACE) you might qualify for.

Your local AAA has senior specific services like Meals on Wheels, housing support, and transportation.

HUD (Housing & Urban Development) offers programs like the the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) and Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly.  HUD also has a Continuum of Care (CoC) for housing assistance.

Please let us know how you are doing when you can. Heart

I believe in the power of prayer and I use prayer more to give me strength and to help me find a way to resolve my situation.

There are organizations that might be able to help.  Also churches will help and aging agencies.  St. Vincent DePaul helps where I live as well.

I think it is awful seniors who are disabled do not get the care and consideration they deserve or any seniors that are struggling.

I will pray a solution becomes available to you soon.

You are in a tough position but there is ALWAYS hope.  You are not alone. You may think you are but you're not.

At 62 you may see yourself as a senior but you are not old.

I will surely pray for you and I want you to know that everyday is new and doors open.

Get rid of the "juju" notion because that's ******....but believe in God who is above.

Stay focused, and take one step at a time.
