If you don't like a thread, don't read it or post on it
Just trying to figure out why, nothing wrong with asking!!

Thanks for the laugh but seriously, is there some sort of time limit before one is 'allowed' to discuss it?

It's a race to see who can post it first. Kind of morbid.
Yes, that is exactly what it is,the same people seem to do it,it seems like a race,to post first.
If one doesn't work, lets try another version and see if that sticks.

Why what? Do you question what the news reports on or what magazines print?
If someone famous dies, people are going to want to talk about it.
I think this has more more to do with the poster than the topic. Whatever...

nope......and there should not even be anyone questioning why someone WANTS to discuss it either.......for friends, family members, OR celebrities.

I don't agree, and I appreciate that someone else has taken the initiative to start the thread. I admit I'm more than a bit lazy in that regard, not to mention this is often the first place I'm made aware of the news of someone's passing. If it's the passing of someone who was well known, or even someone lesser known, it's nice to be aware of things.

I use to have a neighbor who would call me whenver she found out a famous person had died to let me know. She was lonely and old and it didn't bother me. Till she called a little after 5 one morning to let me know Flipper from the tv show had passed, lol.

I personally have compassion for anyone who dies, regardless of whether or not it's a famous person that I do not know or someone I do know.
I didn't know that we're only supposed to feel compassion for people we 'know' who have died.....guess I didn't get that memo......
