First- we have no idea how old the kids were. The OP said they looked 4 and 7. They could very well have been older. Secondly- we have no idea what transpired before the dad got to the movies with the kids. For all we know the kids could have begged and pleaded to go. Maybe the little girl was supposed to stay home, but cried and carried on because she wanted to be with her dad and brother.

We have no idea. The fact the dad got up and left the theater tells me he understands it was the responsible thing to do.

What difference does it make what transpired before the movie? Who cares if the child begged and pleaded to go. he's the adult in this situation.

Exactly.

Also if they were older than 4 and 7 ...how much older could they have been? If they were crying and scared they couldn't have been very old.

I was in a situation with my daughter at Disney- very similar, she cried and begged and pleaded to go into a certain attraction, then freaked when we got there. It's frustrating. I'll give the father in this scenario the benefit of the doubt. He did get up and leave, after all.
