[Puzzle Piece]

Will we be greatly affected or not.  Some preditct the inter-net will fail as well as other eletrical devices.  What do you think?

We went through all that when the year changed from 1999 to 2000.  Really nothing was affected.  I expect that if the technology we have today allows us to send folks to space, the solar storm will not do much, if anything.

"What do I think"?  Never heard the phrase, nor heard any prediction. If this is like some of the other professed certain woes in the future?

I have lived through 3 world ending events, one was just a few days ago. Will throw this in the same category, if and when I even hear about it. So far your thread is it.

A solar storm could have catastrophic consequences, particularly with power grids, sources of communication and more. Is it possible? Yes, and probably inevitable, at some point.

Not sure if there is any way to shield ourselves from such an event. So let's hope it doesn't happen anytime soon, and, if it does, that it will fall short of the predicted chaos that many feel could occur.

We have enough to worry about, these days, without focusing on future maybe's. But, I always try to have surplus staple supplies available, just in case things go crazy. Since these type of events are out of our control, it's the best we can do.

I never worry over any perceived major catastrophic event as I have absolutely NO control over any of it.

I will try to do as always and "let go and let God."

I think worrying about it is useless.  If it happens, it happens.

Scientists are saying it's possible, but not very likely. If the internet went down millions of people wouldn't be paying their bills on time if all they relied on was the internet. Those wihout checks would be out of luck.

I have stopped watching any cable news and rarely see local news unless we have severe weather. There is so much disinformation flooding our minds. I can't control Mother Nature or Father Time. I just enjoy the day I have, and let tomorrow bring what it brings.
