One of the greatest accomplishments in TV advertising is viewers talking about their commercial.
The creators of this ad obviously accomplished the goal.

@stevieb, yes, that male model would look much better
in swimming trunks, he's to big for the type he is wearing.

I admit to disliking that commercial, too. (Thank heavens for fast-forward.)
It wouldn't be so bad, if he was wearing a bathing suit that actually fit him.
And I don't go around body-shaming anyone, but I also don't subscribe to the current acceptance that being morbidly overweight is healthy. It's not.
There's currently a commercial with some large woman with diabetes dancing around about some drug that's made her feel great. And all I can think is "You'd be even better - and healthier - if you lost a lot of that weight."
We should still, as a society and with kindness, be trying to help people become fitter, not normalizing obesity. JMHO.

@Mersha - They're not really accomplishing their goal, because I can't tell you what product they're advertising.
All I remember is the red speedo on the wrong person!

The point of the commercial is the medication cleared up his skin isues and he doesn't feel the need to cover his skin any more.

Is this the correct man in the red Speedo?

Now I want to see the commercial!

As is often the case, we'll agree to disagree. First is the fact that all we seem to come up with is the ad is for some sort of skin medication. The name escapes us and more to the point, the ad is only relevant if someone is in need of skin medication. I personally have always questioned the premise that any attention is good attention. When a product is elective, I also think that some ads annoy some people enough that they avoid the product. I know I do.

I'm pretty sure if you Google it, it's out there to see.

@stevieb "That's the one and yea, why the Speedo... I mean come on, who needs to see that..."
I agree with you. No one wants to see that advertised.
