'Correct' or not, I can't get past that plus size man wearing the red bikini advertising one pharmaceutical or another. Really, not something I want to see nor do I think it's helping to market their drug. Representative, inclusive or not, I guess I preferred the old days when models were fit and attractive.

I wouldn't call him plus size. He's somewhat overweight and out of shape and the commercial is tongue-in-cheek. I just don't like body shaming of anyone.

@CalminHeart - I don't like body shaming either.  Who wants to see that?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

@Dashh ................Why are you asking us?  I feel sure there is no poster here that has control in the modeling industry.

@stevieb @chrystaltree  While I agree that the red Speedo is not the best look for that man (or most men, honestly), I do find him appealing. He appears to be "solid", not flabby, and ready to have some fun! I would go out with him, for sure.

Re: So, why are there no.......

@chrystaltree @stevieb I love that commercial because of that man!

I saw it the other day & it made me smile when his coconut rolled off his stomach!

Peoples bodies don't offend me & I love that there are all kinds of bodies on tv.

Anyway. He made me smile.

@vermint LOL I just posted that he makes me smile!

I don't know why. He is just a man with his coconut rolling off of his stomach!

No overweight male models.....where? Actually I haven't seen any in the magazines, but I'm sure there are some out there.

I'm sorry, but I've not hopped on the 'kindness at all costs' bandwagon. I still value aesthetics among other factors. I also still value honestly so I say what I think, and I think I'd have preferred not to see that man in a Speedo. Whether all in good fun, tongue in cheek or demonstrative of 'inclusivity' the ad for me is a turn off and I'm fine with saying so. And yes, I'll put it right out there, as said above, I preferred the days prior to media of all sorts being compelled to feature the most mundane among us. If I want to see average, I can do so anywhere. This practice doesn't make me feel better, feel included, feel we're all in the same boat, whatever the goal is... And it certainly doesn't make me more likely to try a product. But each to their own. No offense intended to anyone but I've just grown very weary of today's incessant gilding of the lily.

The funny thing is he has a very attractive face if you can get past the red Speedo.
