So tired of the USPS lying.

[ Edited ]

Every Christmas this happens where they say they have delivered something and they haven’t. I usually get it the next day, but what a hassle.   I know a lot of you have been through this, but it’s tiresome.  I called JTV and they said I have to wait 10 days to make a claim.

I have had this happen to me on more than one occasion and it actually happened during the summer. It does usually shows up within the next day or so. Have you tried calling the post office? I realize it doesn't help sometimes. Our post office is awful. Good luck and sorry this has happend to you. I do understand.

Re: So tired of the USPS lying.

Rural delivery:  Great mail carrier but when she goes on a vacation all bets are off if we get anything delivered to the right house.  I have INFORMED DELIVERY that tells me what is coming.  Sometimes packages are not scanned however.

I have called and the pat answer is:  We are overloaded.  We have new help that  is not as good as the old help.

Our distribution center is 65 miles away. They closed the local one.  I can send a letter to my neighbor and it has to go to Baltimore first.

I had a post office box but sometimes companies will not send packages to a PO Box. Have to use a physical address.

Never had USPS do this but UPS does it occasionally.

Thank youSmiley Happy.  I’ve tried calling the post office in the past and I’m left on hold forever.  I have gone into my local, very busy, post office and they found the package in the back.

My daughters' strreet doesn't get mail some days because they said the route is "too big"....

It's only going to get worse the closer it gets to Christmas...

USPS does this to me sometimes, too.  It's beyond frustrating.  It usually happens on the weekend when it's a different mail person.  I've just learned to wait until the next day to see if it's delivered, and it always is.

No one answers the phone at my post office, and the lines are a long wait.  I have gone in at times, though, and the package is never there.  It's on the truck but just not delivered.

I sometimes want to move just to get away from my apathetic post office and incompetent carrier.

I've complained to USPS about this, but not sure what they can do to prevent it.

Re: So tired of the USPS lying.

Mine lied to my face and denied getting the weekly newspapers to deliver that week when I confronted her. I have subscribed for over 30 years and received it. I called the newspaper office and this was not true.

She speeds down our road and at least 12 times in two years when she left or handed me mail and package never noticed the flag up on my box.  She left a pile of mail several times that was not mine. More issues than I  EVER have had. Mine is a big rural route but too much in a hurry and not paying attention. I was ready to complain to the Postmaster but heard from a retired carrier , they are hard to get rid of.

They changed all  carriers last mo. and although the mail comes hours later she seems to be more conscientious. Some carriers have been great.

I had a mailbox stolen as others in the area. Kids prank or looking for money. I called the 800 number to report it and all they cared was when it was going to be replaced? I thought tampering was against the  Federal law? Local police did investigate as several were taken.

Another Govt. Agency that does not care. I agree ,why lie about the service ?I would rather be told the truth. Then ,I wonder why so many lost  late packages? It isn't  all QVCs fault.
