Re: So sad about Anne Burrell

The drugs in her system were two for allergies, one stimulant, and alcohol.  I believe it was an accident, as these don't seem to be drugs one would take to pass away.  What woman would get into a shower/bathtub if she were planning to die, makes no sense.  Also, the children in her care, can't imagine she would leave them, but we will never know.

The Worst Cooks in America has been running lately with Anne, so sad to know these were her last.

A combination of amphetamines and alcohol is a recipe for disaster.

There is conflict between the two. One is a stimulant, and one is a depressant.

Amphetamines can dull the effects of alcohol. So, you might drink more than you intended. That increases the risk of alcohol poisoning.

This combination can cause reckless impulsive behavior.

If she was combining these two for a long period of time it could cause suicidal thoughts.

It seems she had some issues, and she might have been self-medicating.

This is tragedy for her and the people she left behind.

Why do so many famous people die in the bathroom, specifically, shower/tub? Matthew Perry, Whitney Houston AND her daughter, Aaron Carter, George Michael etc. Even Elvis and now Anne.

I only know one person personally throughout my whole life that died in the bathroom and it was due to a heart attack.

I read that over the years Whitney Houston's staff would discourage her from taking baths, and encourage her to take a shower instead. They were afraid that as a drug user she would pass out in the bathtub and drown.

Tragically, Whitney's daughter died in the same fashion.
