@felixmom I agree...why would someone wanting to die take a massive amount of pills and then get in the shower?  Wouldn't they just lie down and let them take effect?

@LuvSoCal  I wondered the same about the shower and pills.  And the husband didn't find her for hours. Makes no sense.

@LuvSoCal well we wouldn't actually know til we tried it. Lol. Who know what goes thru the mind of someone loaded on alcohol, amphetamines and cold meds.  She could have staggered, dropped pills. Reports never stated she was in shower I don't think. Pills were found as she was near shower.  She had ethanol poisoning on tox report. That's alcohol.  She had alcohol as one of reasons listed as cause of death. Bless her.  Just sad.

Well, she probably just took everything she had.  I've heard of a few women using a gun, but that's really unusual, statistically.

What I find odd is that just the night before, she was doing improv comedy at a club. Something isn't sitting right with me.

"The night before she died, Burrell was onstage at The Second City in Brooklyn, where she was doing improv comedy with friends."

How terrible!  That must have been so traumatic.  Your poor sister.  I don't know how everyone recovers from that.

I often follow cooking shows and issues around them.

So, as soon as Worst Cooks came out without their star Anne Burrell, fans flooded social media. They asked her about it on her pages.

As someone who studies social behavior,

I was worried when she shared, simply, that she did not know why she was dropped.

Obviously, there were reasons. Some might explain what led to her letting go of life.

It would be interesting to hear from someone who attended the Improv Theater performance the night before.  I  read that it wasn't supposed to start until 9 p.m. or so.

@shoekitty This reminds me of an experience my former sisterinlaw and neices had. Their neighbor had attempted suicide previously. 

Her successful attempt surprised them all.  They had all seen her a few days previously and said that she was calm and happy.  My guess is that her calmness and peace came from a firm decision to finally end her own life.
